Privacy policy
StorySong processes the story, recipient details and delivery email you submit solely to create and deliver your order, operate the service, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
What we collect
We collect form content, order and payment references, technical logs and analytics events. For purchases, Dodo Payments processes payment details under its own privacy policy. StorySong receives the order and payment information needed to verify payment, deliver your purchase and provide support. StorySong does not store full card numbers.
Optional website analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits to our public website and a limited set of interactions, such as selecting a language or package. Google may store analytics cookies in your browser. We do not load these analytics until you choose Accept analytics. Choosing Reject analytics does not prevent you from using StorySong.
We exclude private order, gift, payment, account-library, sign-in and admin pages from our analytics. Page addresses are limited to public paths, without query strings or fragments; referrers are also filtered. We do not send story text, lyrics, names, email addresses, private links or payment references in analytics events. Advertising storage, advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in our analytics setup. Google handles analytics data under the Google analytics privacy information.
Use Analytics preferences on a public page to accept or reject analytics at any time. We remember your choice locally in that browser. Rejecting stops future analytics collection by our site; it does not remove data already received by Google. Essential service cookies and technical logs are separate from this optional analytics choice.
How stories are used
Your story is sent to contracted AI and infrastructure providers to generate your requested content. It is not sold or published by us. Avoid unnecessary sensitive personal data.
Optional email sign-in
When available, My songs lets you find orders placed with a verified purchase email. You do not need to register or set a password to buy a song. We send a one-time link through our transactional email provider and use essential browser cookies to verify the request and maintain your session. Login links expire after 15 minutes; sessions expire after 30 days or when you sign out of that browser. The request-browser cookie expires after one hour. We store hashed login credentials and limited, pseudonymized rate-limit records to prevent misuse. These private pages do not load our analytics.
Expired login records and sessions are removed during subsequent sign-in activity; expired link records may remain until at least the next day. Signing out does not revoke the separate private order links already emailed to you, gift links you created, or files already downloaded. Contact support if a private order link has been shared unintentionally.
Retention and deletion
If you choose a photo video, we process your uploaded photos to crop, resize and assemble the video. We strip embedded photo metadata during upload and do not send these photos to an AI image-generation model. Original photos use private storage and browser-bound access. They expire after seven days unless needed by an active order; scheduled maintenance removes expired originals. You can remove unused photos in the studio. Removing an original does not remove copies already included in a delivered video.
Order records are retained for support, fraud prevention and accounting. Generated files and source stories can be deleted upon a verified request unless law requires retention.
Google and YouTube channel connection
The StorySong YouTube Uploader is an operator-only tool for our own brand channel, separate from customer orders and email sign-in. Its Google consent screen currently uses the application name “autoproject.” Customers do not need to connect a Google or YouTube account to buy a song.
The tool uses YouTube API Services. With the channel operator’s consent, it reads the connected channel ID to check that it is the intended StorySong channel. The requested permissions are YouTube upload and read-only access. Connecting the account alone does not upload a video. Publishing requires a separately enabled and authorized workflow; that workflow sends selected promotional videos and their titles, descriptions and visibility or scheduling settings to YouTube, and reads publication status.
OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored in macOS Keychain on the operator’s computer, not in the website’s customer database, source repository or public logs. Local operational records contain the channel ID, authorization and verification times and, where applicable, video IDs and publication status. The tool does not ask for a Google password or access Gmail, contacts or Google Drive.
Google receives the API requests needed for these functions. Authorized operators and their operational tooling can view the limited channel and publication records for verification and troubleshooting. We do not sell Google user data, use it for targeted advertising, or use it to train AI models. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Disconnecting and deleting connection data
The operator can revoke access at any time in Google account permissions. To remove stored tokens and associated API data, contact support using the address below. We handle verified deletion requests manually and remove that data within seven calendar days. Tokens are retained only while needed for the authorized connection. Stored channel and publication API data must be refreshed or removed within 30 days; a failed authorization check stops further access until resolved.
Disconnecting or deleting our local connection data does not delete videos or data already held by YouTube. Manage those separately in YouTube. Google’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Use of the channel tool is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.
Your choices
You may request access, correction or deletion by contacting support. You can reject optional analytics through Analytics preferences and can also use your browser’s privacy controls.
